Coronation Street cast member Rula Lenska has teased a summer return to Weatherfield.
Her character Claudia Colby hasn't been seen on the soap since the death of Norris Cole last autumn. However, Claudia's decision to remain at the Still Waters retirement complex means she's in and around the area, potentially keeping tabs on her ex Ken Barlow.
Lenska and Maureen Lipman (who plays Evelyn Plummer on Corrie) provided the goods during a visit to Lorraine this week, telling host Christine Lampard that something's in the pipeline.

"I would love to go back, I had a wonderful time," Lenska said when asked what the future holds. "Not only because of being with Mo, but it was like a huge family.
"Unfortunately the storylines that I'd hoped would develop, i.e. between Mo and myself, didn't happen, or haven't happened yet. But yes, I would love to go back."

Egging her pal on, Lipman added: "There is a chance in the summer that you might be back?"
"There is... for a few episodes," revealed Lenska, as her co-star joked: "If she's good, they might let her back."

Following that, a Corrie spokesperson told Metro: "Claudia has always been a character that comes in and out of the show as she has connections on the street."

Lenska and Lipman were promoting a new episode of the ITV series DNA Journey at the time, within which the two close friends discovered a surprising connection between their ancestors.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
