Coronation Street spoilers follow from the Christmas Day episode, which is available to watch now on the ITV Hub. This episode doesn't air on ITV until 8pm, so our article contains spoilers that some viewers may prefer to avoid.
Coronation Street has revealed the reason for the latest rift between Eileen Grimshaw and local undertaker George Shuttleworth.
The ITV soap had teased that Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and George (Tony Maudsley) would fall out over a Christmas present during the festive period.
The reasons have now become clear in Corrie's hour-long Christmas episode, which is available to stream early on the ITV Hub ahead of the regular TV airing.
After weeks of carefully planning Eileen's present, George blindfolded her and led her into the funeral parlour for a big surprise.

Eileen was horrified as George presented her with a coffin – part of a bespoke funeral package that he'd created for her.
George believed that he was doing Eileen a big favour, but unsurprisingly, she saw things rather differently.
Eileen complained: "That is not a gift – that is a curse. What's wrong with a hat and scarf, or a weekend away?
"What enjoyment am I going to get from that, apart from dwelling on my imminent death and funeral?"

Eileen's son Todd (Gareth Pierce), who'd fully supported George's antics, assured her: "You've got years in you, yet."
George promised to get Eileen something else, but she told him to forget it and banned him from her Christmas dinner, before storming out.
Todd quipped: "Maybe the mini-break was the better option."
Can George find a way to make it up to Eileen as the festive period continues?
Coronation Street continues on Boxing Day at 7.30pm on ITV, with an early release on ITV Hub at 7am.
