Corrie's Zeedan makes risky plan after blackmail demands

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street's Zeedan Nazir is going to take further drastic action as the soap's money laundering storyline continues.

Zeedan's return to the street was followed by the arrival of a man named Hashim — the father of his estranged wife Mehnaz — who is demanding the £50,000 that Zeedan has stolen.

Following up on scenes airing this week, next week's episodes will see Ryan Connor tell Alya about an argument between Zeedan and Hashim, although he admits he doesn't know what it was about.

Zeedan will be filling a rucksack full of stolen cash at Speed Daal when Craig Tinker comes in, but he's just there to follow up on the fact there was an argument.

What to Read Next

Zeedan then comes up with a new plan to come Alya off his scent and to get Hashim his money: starting up the food van again. He tells his sister he's intending to make a proper go of it this time, but really he's hoping to launder the money without any interference.

Actor Qasim Akhtar has already revealed that Zeedan's family will become very involved as the storyline goes on — and not in a good way.

"[Zeedan] has crossed the wrong people and he has got on the wrong side of someone who is quite a big fish," Qasim explained, "so he will be bringing trouble to the street and Yasmeen and Alya are going to find themselves in the crossfire and in the thick of it with him".

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, November 1 and Wednesday, November 3 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
