Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Adam Hussain has revealed how his character Aadi Alahan will react to Dev's heartbreaking decision.
Next week's episodes see Aadi, his father Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and twin sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey) all caught up in a terrifying road accident.
When a prison van crashes into the family's car, Dev manages to get himself free as smoke seeps into the vehicle.
Dev has to decide which of his twins to save first and ultimately chooses to rescue Asha, who's unconscious. But could this choice have tragic consequences when the car explodes just seconds later?

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media about the scenes, Adam explained: "After the car crashes, Aadi is sat right next to Dev. He's asking Dev to help him, so they can both together help Asha. In the frantic moment, Dev stumbles out of the car and says to Aadi: 'Help yourself'.
"That's a catalyst moment for Aadi, because Dev has always preferred his sister. He's always treated her better than him. That's the tipping point of building up this resentment for him – and a little bit for his sister as well.
"Dev's more worried for Asha because she's unconscious, but Aadi is still there awake right next to him, asking for help. But when Dev says 'help yourself', I think that forces Aadi to resent his father quite a bit."

Adam continued: "Aadi feels that he has to take care of himself from now on. His own dad won't even help him out of a burning car and he's sat right next to him.
"I feel like Aadi's had to mature at a young age and look after himself. He's always been doing that, with working at the shop for Dev. I think he's not entirely shocked, it's like a realisation of: 'Okay, this is how it's going to be'."
Corrie bosses have confirmed that Aadi is rushed to hospital in the scenes that follow.
His ultimate fate is being kept secret, as at least one character will be killed off in next week's Super Soap Week storylines.

Asked about filming the dramatic scenes, Adam recalled: "My favourite part of filming was probably the car crash. Seeing the big lorry crash into the back of the car, that was quite a good scene.
"The car crash was so intense. The back of the car just went flying off. It was a great experience to do such a stunt.
"It was so much bigger than what I'd imagined it to be. I wasn't quite sure how they were going to film a car crash scene. It was quite educational and pretty fun."
Adam also noted how these family resentments for the Alahan family have been building for a while.

He said: "The dynamic at the moment is very strained. Obviously there's always been that sibling rivalry between the two twins, but I feel like Aadi has a lot of resentment now for his father.
"There's always been little moments where Dev has undermined Aadi in a certain way, like when he anticipated Asha getting better grades than him, and Aadi proved him wrong. All of those moments have built up that resentment.
"The moment with the crash is the catalyst of Aadi believing that his dad doesn't really care about him and he only keeps him around for running the shop."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
