Coronation Street has hinted that Imran Habeeb and his ex-wife Sabeen could put their differences aside after Kelly Neelan and Corey Brent's dramatic trial.

Imran (Charlie de Melo) and his ex are both on opposing sides at the court case, which begins in Wednesday night's episodes (September 1).

Kelly and Corey are both standing trial for the murder of Seb Franklin after their involvement in his fatal attack.

Flashback scenes this week showed that Corey was responsible for Seb's death, as he kicked Seb repeatedly while Kelly begged him to stop. Kelly also tried in vain to pull Corey away from Seb.

Despite this, Corey has created a false version of events and is planning to tell the jury that Kelly was the attacker.

Over the coming days, viewers will see tensions mount between Imran and Sabeen (Zora Bishop) as they do everything they can for their respective clients.

The odds are stacked against Imran as he has been working on Kelly's defence alone. Corey, meanwhile, has a much larger defence team thanks to the financial backing of his wealthy dad Stefan.

In next week's episodes, the jury retires to consider its verdict after everyone involved has given their evidence.
