Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Emma Brooker shares a big decision with Curtis Delamere next week after his health takes a turn for the worse.
Emma (Alexandra Mardell) worries for her boyfriend when he collapses and has to be rushed to hospital.
A few weeks ago, Curtis (Sam Retford) confided in Emma about how he has an incurable heart condition. He'd previously chosen to keep this private in the early stages of their relationship.
Curtis explained that he could have a "totally normal lifespan", but it's also possible that he won't have much time left. In the past, his heart has stopped on two separate occasions.

In next week's episodes, Curtis tells Emma that he has got a hospital appointment later on as he needs to receive some test results.
Emma offers to go with Curtis, but the day takes an unexpected turn when the barman collapses unconscious at the Bistro.

Once Curtis has regained consciousness, the doctor tells him that he should stay in overnight and undergo more tests.
Curtis is dismissive over this, insisting that it'd be a waste of time. In the end, he returns back to the cobbles with Emma.
Later, back at the flat, a thoughtful Emma has a big announcement for Curtis after the day's events – but is it good news or bad over their future?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, September 3 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
