Coronation Street's Eileen Grimshaw and George Shuttleworth are to face yet another setback in their blossoming romance, but is this really the end for the pair?
In scenes set to air next week, things appear to be going well for the will-they-won't-they couple, after George finds Eileen in the cafe and offers to take her out to dinner at the Bistro.
When George admits he's taken a shine to her, Eileen coyly accepts his offer and prepares for their date.

Later, George overhears Eileen telling Mary Taylor that she isn't sure that she wants to go out with someone who handles the dead for the living. Hurt, George decides to cancel their date and texts Eileen to tell her it's off.

A furious Eileen confronts George for blowing her off, but is left mortified when George reveals that he heard her saying to Mary that he makes her skin crawl.
In a bid to get the pair back on track, Mary hatches a plan to get them to reconcile, prompting George to suggest to Eileen they give the date another go.
