Coronation Street has revealed that a dramatic health scare for Gail Rodwell will air next week.
Gail (Helen Worth) realises that she's suffering a heart attack as family tensions between the Platts reach boiling point.
Next week, Gail finds herself caught in the middle of the issues that her son Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is having with his ex-partner Natasha Blakeman.
Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) is still refusing to let Nick see Sam after the numerous times he has landed the schoolboy in dangerous situations.

However, when Nick's brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) discovers that Gail will be looking after Sam the following day, he forms a plan to help his sibling.
Gail is horrified when she realises that David expects her to let Nick see Sam behind Natasha's back.
Feeling stressed by this request, Gail insists that she needs to respect Natasha's wishes.
David has other ideas and finds another way to engineer Sam and Nick meeting.

Nick also angers Sarah (Tina O'Brien) by announcing that he wants to sell his shares in the factory in order to spend more time with his partner Leanne Battersby.
With the Platts at each other's throats, Gail heads outside for some air.
Shortly afterwards, Sam finds Gail doubled over and clutching her chest in pain.

An ambulance is called, while a struggling Gail accuses Nick, Sarah and David of causing her heart attack with their constant rows.
