Coronation Street's Gary Windass faces tough questioning from the police this Christmas as the Rick Neelan storyline is revisited.
Gary (Mikey North) killed Rick in self-defence in June 2019 and buried the body, but has managed to avoid any trouble with the law – until now.

In Christmas week, the police finally make their move by bringing Gary in for questioning.

Gary's wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) is horrified as she learns that he's under suspicion over Rick's disappearance.
As the police interview gets under way, Gary is told that they've found evidence suggesting that a body was buried in the woods. The authorities have reason to believe that this was Rick.
Gary strongly denies any wrongdoing and insists that he knows nothing about Rick's disappearance.

Later on, Sarah is livid when the police release Gary as there wasn't enough evidence to arrest or charge him – especially without a body.
Sarah bravely calls at Gary's flat and angrily confronts him, accusing him of moving Rick's body to stay one step ahead.

Maria overhears the row and demands an explanation from Gary, wanting to know why Sarah thinks he's a killer.
When Gary is unable to offer up a plausible response, Maria reaches breaking point and kicks him out.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, December 23 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
