Coronation Street's Peter Barlow will turn back to alcohol next week after facing a traumatic day.
Peter (Chris Gascoyne) drinks whisky after a shock attack from a thug leaves him shaken, but this brief moment sparks a major new downward spiral for the troubled character.
The drama starts early next week, as Peter heads out to work in his cab after arguing with his partner Carla Connor (Alison King) over Oliver Battersby's tragic situation and Simon's involvement.
Peter is stung by the row, which saw them express conflicting views over how best to approach things with Simon, but his day gets even worse when a stranger approaches him.
