Former Coronation Street star Victoria Ekanoye is expecting her first child with boyfriend Jonny Lomas.
The Angie Appleton actress revealed the happy news in a recent interview with Hello!, admitting that it was a welcome surprise.
"We thought we would try next year," she said. "So when this pregnancy came along we were like, 'It's happening!' It did come as a bit of a surprise but it's so unbelievably exciting."

Victoria went on to explain that they delayed the announcement of her pregnancy, partly because she suffers with sickle cell anaemia.
"We know friends that have miscarried and so we waited until we were 12 weeks before we even told our parents. Then, with my health condition, we wanted a little bit more security and stability in knowing that everything is okay with baby and with me," she said.

"As I have sickle cell, this is regarded as a high-risk pregnancy but the team at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester are amazing and I see my sickle cell specialist, my obstetrician and my midwife every month and they really look after me."
Victoria's final scenes as Angie aired at the beginning of 2019, although she hinted at the time that she could return one day.
"I've honestly had the time of my life and I can't believe it's been 18 months – it's felt like no time – but I guess time flies when you're having fun," she said following her exit.
"There was a lot of stuff left unresolved and I may or may not be able to confirm those things."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on ITV.
