Coronation Street's Paul Foreman starts to lose hope for his future with Billy Mayhew next week following Todd Grimshaw's return to Weatherfield.
As Todd settles back into life on the cobbles and tries to win Billy back, an insecure Paul (Peter Ash) fears that it's only a matter of time before the charmer gets his way.

In next week's episodes, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) is shocked to realise that Todd is back in Weatherfield after three years away.
When Todd (Gareth Pierce) then meets Paul for the first time, he seizes his first opportunity to cause trouble between him and Billy.

Paul is shocked by Todd's sly behaviour, but Billy assures him that he has absolutely nothing to worry about.
Later in the week, Todd continues to wind up Paul and make the situation worse.
Billy urges Todd to stop it when they catch up at The Rovers, but Todd defends his actions by admitting that he still has feelings for Billy and wants them to get back together.
Billy stays loyal to Paul, even when Todd confidently declares that it's obvious he doesn't really want to be with him. As Billy leaves the pub, his true feelings for Todd may be revealed as his eyes are filled with tears.

In the days that follow, Billy makes repeated attempts to assure Paul that while Todd was once the love of his life, there's nothing between them anymore.
Paul is not convinced that he's getting the truth from Billy, believing that he may be settling for second best and denying his true feelings. Is it only a matter of time before Billy and Todd reunite?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 19 and Wednesday, October 21 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
