Coronation Street's Tim Metcalfe is accused of having an affair with the husband of a dangerous gangster next week.
Tim (Joe Duttine) finds himself at the centre of total chaos as the repercussions of Todd Grimshaw's return continue on the cobbles.
Viewers know that Todd (Gareth Pierce) has made an enemy of a gangster called Mick Costello by stealing money from him. The pair were once lovers, but Todd made a daring move by conning him.

In next week's episodes, Todd's mum Eileen (Sue Cleaver) decides to take action against Mick for the trouble he has caused recently.

Understandably annoyed after Mick held her at gunpoint, Eileen decides to call him at home – using the Streetcars number – and threaten him with the police.
Eileen's tactics backfire when Mick's husband Erik answers the phone and heads straight to the street to find out what's going on.
Erik gets the wrong idea by accusing Tim of calling his house and having an affair with his husband.

Unsurprisingly, Tim is completely baffled by Erik's accusations, while Eileen is mortified as she watches the consequences of her actions unfold.
Eileen desperately tries to step in by telling Erik that she was the one who made the call, not Tim.

Brave Eileen then decides she's had just about enough of Mick and Erik and reads them the riot act. She urges them to see that Todd – the real source of all their troubles – simply isn't worth their time or energy.
