Coronation Street has confirmed that Gary Windass will team up with scheming Ray Crosby next week.
Gary (Mikey North) becomes a willing accomplice for Ray after uncovering his secret plans to buy up most of the properties on the cobbles.

Next week, Gary urges Ray to let him help with the plan – pointing out that he can make it much easier to persuade the locals to sell up.

Ray is pleased with the idea and gives Gary a job, but immediately gets tough by giving him a tricky first task – convincing the Platts to sell up.
Later in the week, David (Jack P Shepherd) confides in Gary about his financial problems, failing to realise that the scheming villain has an ulterior motive for listening to his issues.
David speaks to Gary about the offer on the house, submitted by Ray's friend, and how it would solve everything. However, he doesn't want to upset his wife Shona and the kids by forcing them to move.
Gary suggests that David should take the money but see whether he can rent the house back.

David takes this on board and agrees to sell the house on the condition that it's leased back to him. He explains to Gail that it will ensure the sinkhole is fixed and the kids won't be uprooted, but Gail fears it's too good to be true.
Gary also tries to mask his guilt, knowing the reality of the situation is that the Platts will be turfed out. How long will it take David to realise that he's making a terrible mistake?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, October 19, Wednesday, October 21 and Friday, October 23 on ITV.
