Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson has spoken about Nicky Wheatley's heartbreak after hearing Daniel Osbourne make cruel comments about her.
Monday's double bill (September 21) saw Nicky and Daniel sleep together for the first time, but their relationship turned sour a short while later when Daniel made a big mistake.
After walking Nicky to the tram stop, Daniel was quizzed by Kirk Sutherland over the nature of their relationship.
Daniel made out that his connection to Nicky was meaningless and made a derogatory comment about her being a sex worker. Nicky overheard this and punished Daniel by demanding payment for their time together.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media about how Nicky is feeling, Kimberly explained: "She's absolutely gutted. There's nothing worse. Nicky can take people judging her – she can take it all, but she can't take liars.
"When Nicky hears Daniel saying those things about her, her whole world shatters. The one time she lets one person in, that's what he does for her in return.
"What's worse is that Daniel has done it thinking he's going to get away with it and no-one's going to know. He'd have her in his arms the next night, stroking her hair, telling her how much he likes her. But she's just walked over and heard that.
"It's like a lads' group chat, where they're so lovely to you but then tell the lads all about it. It's heartbreaking. Just as she's letting him in, this is test number one and it's a fail straight away.

"I think sometimes Daniel comes across a bit geeky, so if even the geeks are hurting her too, what hope is there in the world? He was meant to be the sweet person, the reliable one."
In the aftermath of Daniel and Nicky's row, she challenged him to be open with his whole family – including his father Ken Barlow – about their relationship and her sex work.
Daniel decided not to, but his refusal left Nicky even more heartbroken.
Asked whether Nicky was serious about this idea, Kimberly replied: "I think it's a double-edged sword that one, it's a test. She doesn't necessarily mean it, but by God, she'd love it if he turned around and said yes.

"That's what she wants to hear. She's testing him and she doesn't expect him to do it. When he doesn't, she goes: 'Told you, I knew you wouldn't, thank you very much. I knew you were exactly what I thought you were'."
The Daniel and Nicky story continues over the rest of the week, with more twists and turns ahead as Geoff Metcalfe is drawn into the plot.
