Coronation Street has raised new questions about Todd Grimshaw's mysterious disappearance.
In tonight's scenes (August 24), Sean worriedly searched various social media sites, hoping to find clues about Todd's whereabouts, but to no avail. Convinced that he's in some sort of trouble, Billy then confided in Paul about Sean's worries.
As Sean failed to track down Todd, Billy decided there was no other option but to report Todd to the police as a missing person.
Later, resident policeman Craig Tinker was left feeling guilty after seeing how worried Billy and Sean were about Todd.
The plot soon began to thicken, however, as Craig did some digging and discovered that the police actually spoke to Todd a while ago about the time he kidnapped Summer (and assaulted an officer), and are no longer taking any action against this.
This begs the question: if the police are no longer after him, what is really keeping Todd away from the street?

Todd will finally be returning to screens this autumn, with Welsh actor Gareth Pierce replacing Bruno Langley in the role.
"I'm thrilled to be joining such an iconic show," Gareth said, "and to have been entrusted with taking Todd forward into some really exciting storylines.
"It's an honour to be part of the dedicated Coronation Street team in such unprecedented times."
Langley played Todd for 16 years before being axed in 2017 for off-screen behaviour.
Coronation Street currently airs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 7.30pm on ITV.
