Coronation Street and Emmerdale are making preparations for filming to potentially resume in June.
According to MailOnline, discussions are being held about how the soaps would be able to maintain social distancing and ensure a safe working environment, which could include having fewer people on set, making use of camera angles, and storylines involving fewer characters.
ITV has commented on the report, saying that it is looking to restart production but health and safety remain the "highest priority".

"The health and well-being of our people and those who work with us has always been our highest priority and remains so as we look to restart production," reads the statement shared with Digital Spy.
"We are in the final stages of working with others across the industry on a return-to-production protocol and we are in active discussions with Government on this. We will share more news in due course."

Meanwhile, the BBC has confirmed plans for EastEnders to return to filming "by the end of June" and will "work within government guidelines".
Coronation Street and Emmerdale both suspended production in late March as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The soaps are both airing three episodes a week instead of six for the time being, to ensure that they will remain on air until at least the early summer.
Coronation Street currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm on ITV. Emmerdale currently airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
