Coronation Street is set to air an unsettling racism storyline for the Bailey family next week, as building work continues at the Bistro.
In scenes set to air next week, the new manager of the Bistro, Don, lets Ray Crosby know that he isn't happy with the standard of construction at the restaurant.
After Ray tells Ed Bailey about Don's concerns, Ed and his son Michael make a start on fixing the issue, only for Don to make a racist remark while they work.
Ed and Michael are understandably taken aback by Don's comments, but when the new manager is heard being racist again, Ed decides not to address it.
