Coronation Street has revealed that Ali Neeson will be rushed to hospital next week, ahead of his departure from the show.
New spoilers released on the ITV soap's official website have confirmed that Ali gets rushed off in an ambulance, much to the concern of his loved ones on the cobbles.
The Ali incident comes just days after Gary Windass discovers from Adam Barlow that Ali and Maria Connor may have betrayed him recently.
Wanting to teach Ali a lesson, Gary considers his revenge and asks Rick Neelan's former loan shark sidekick Sharon for a favour.
This means there are no prizes for guessing who may be to blame when Ali is later taken away to hospital, with Gary (Mikey North) looking on guiltily.

Maria (Samia Longchambon) later follows Ali to the hospital to check whether he's okay.
Ali is still unconscious, but Ryan is at his bedside and bitterly blames Maria for everything – claiming that her pitting Ali off against Gary has had disastrous consequences.
