Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn has said she would like to take on an "evil" role after seven years of playing Sinead Osbourne on the cobbles.
Katie picked up the Best Serial Drama Performance award at tonight's National Television Awards for her portrayal of Sinead, who passed away on screen in October after battling cervical cancer.
Speaking to press including Digital Spy at the awards ceremony following her big win, Katie was asked what kind of character she'd like to play next.

"I'd love to play, obviously not Harley Quinn because that's already taken, but I'd love to play that kind of role," she said.
"Like a sassy or evil role – something completely different, something I could really sink my teeth into. So I'd like to play someone really evil."

Katie also spoke about her time on the cobbles and revealed how much she's been missing her cast-mates since she exited the soap.
"I look back on Coronation Street with so many memories. I practically grew up on the show I love everyone there," Katie said.
"The main thing that I'm going to miss about Coronation Street is the people. Tonight, yes I was nominated and I wasn't expecting to win at all, but what I was most looking forward to was seeing everyone again because I love them all to bits.
"I'm so close with everyone, everyone's amazing there and I just feel privileged to have been a part of the show for seven years."
While accepting her award tonight Katie dedicated her win to "any woman who is going through cervical cancer right now, who has gone through cervical cancer and all the families that are going through it".
The actress ended her emotional speech by saying: "Stay strong and thank you very much."
The National Television Awards aired live on ITV.
