Coronation Street fans are furious after Sean Tully sabotaged Eileen Grimshaw's plan to run away with Jan Lozinski.
Wednesday's double bill (September 4) started with Eileen (Sue Cleaver) making out that she's off on a two-week holiday and saying an emotional farewell to Steve and Tim, but little did they know that she was off to the hospital to begin a new life with a recovering Jan Lozinski (Piotr Baumann).
Eileen informed Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) that she and Jan had accepted a witness protection plan and would be fleeing together. But a suspicious Sean (Antony Cotton) was aware something unusual was going on and managed to trick Seb into admitting the truth.

"You're making the biggest mistake of your life," Sean told Eileen when he found out she was about to run away with Jan.
Deeply concerned about Eileen, Sean visited Jan in hospital and told him that if he really loved Eileen and cared for her own safety, he would let her go.
Of course, viewers weren't happy about Sean's actions.
In the second part of Wednesday's double bill, Eileen headed off to the hospital – only to find there was no sign of Jan because he'd discharged himself earlier.
Back at home, Sean paid Eileen a visit to hand her a farewell letter from Jan, admitting that he went to see him at the hospital.
After reading Jan's letter, Eileen's disappointment turned into anger and she was quick to hit out at Sean for his actions.
Sean insisted that he only did it for Eileen's happiness, but she was angry with him that he destroyed her only chance of starting a brand new life with Jan.
Following Jan's departure, fans – like Eileen – were furious with Sean.
What does this mean for Eileen and Jan's future? Will they find a way to get back together?
