Coronation Street actor Antony Cotton showed his support at Manchester Pride and even found some time to hit back at a group of anti-LGBTQ+ protestors.
Antony – who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap – joined a number of his cast mates at the city festivities as they paraded a Corrie float around the packed streets, but after spotting the demonstrators with picket signs, Antony approached them with a Pride flag.

The actor then proceeded to wave the flag in front of them and even touched their signs with it as his fans loudly cheered him on. Before leaving to rejoin his cast mates, including Dolly-Rose Campbell, Antony then blew a kiss in the direction of the protestors.
Billy Mayhew star Daniel Brocklebank was also in attendance, telling the Manchester Evening News: "Corrie has always been a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ movement.
"Although we are lucky enough to live in the UK, where laws and how people react to the LGBTQ+ community is good, there are still 70-odd countries where people like me are illegal - eight of which still carry the death penalty. So it's important to show our solidarity."
