Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has shared the sweet way in which her and boyfriend Scott Ratcliff keep in touch whilst he's on duty in Afghanistan.
The singer-turned-actress revealed earlier this week that Scott is set for a six-month stint away on tour next year, explaining "It is tough, but I know we can make it work and we will be fine."
Chatting to Express.co.uk at the recent Military Awards, Kym and Scott revealed their cute communication system.
"We wrote each other letters every week which we would open every Friday, because that's when we would normally see each other," Scott said. "So we had a letter each week and then Kym sent me away with a couple of gifts and I had a gift arrive for Kym as well."
Kym added: "It's hard, but you support each other throughout. It's a shared experience, I'm the one at home watching Coronation Street eating chocolate.
"Scott's the one that's out there doing stuff that potentially might put him in danger and sleeping on the ground, so actually I have the easier part but he would say I don't".
