In the first of two emotionally charged episodes to be shown this evening, Todd and Sarah are preparing to bury their baby son. Estranged and distraught, the two young parents are coping with the situation in very different ways. Sarah is adamant she won't attend the funeral, whereas Todd is devastated that he isn't welcome at the service. In a moving speech, Hayley manages to persuade Sarah that she should say a proper farewell to Billy. Meanwhile, Todd is forced to be an outcast and mere bystander as the hearse, complete with tiny, white coffin, and it’s entourage pull away from the street, leaving him empty and bereft.

On a lighter note, Janice and Les are looking forward to their day out with Chesney. Things don't go quite to plan when he throws up in the car and they are forced to return. Finding themselves alone as Chesney recovers upstairs, Les seizes the initiative and makes a heartfelt plea for her to give their marriage another go… almost killing Janice in the process.

Having spent the night at Mike's, Danny and Frankie are still trying to mend fences as they rake over the ashes of their ruined marriage. Both seem keen to give things another go, but first of all Danny has got some explaining to do to Sunita.
