An episode of Casualty focusing on a school shooting storyline has been pulled after coming under review by the BBC.
The 1 hour 20 minute episode was scheduled to air on Saturday night (June 11), but the BBC has since updated its schedule, indicating that a different 40-minute episode will air instead.
The update comes just a week after the BBC announced the episode was under review and said in a statement to Digital Spy: "In light of recent tragic news events, we are reviewing the episode of Casualty due to transmit on 11th June on BBC One."

The tragic events refer to the devastating shooting which recently took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, where 21 people, including 19 children, were killed and 18 further people were injured.
The episode is currently rescheduled for June 18, but there has been no official word from the BBC on whether or not it will air. Digital Spy has contacted the BBC for comment and will keep you updated if there is a response.
The double episode is titled 'Wednesday's Child', and before being removed, the BBC's original synopsis for it read: "David must come to terms with Ollie's involvement in a school shooting, and a patient from Paul's past pushes him to be honest with Robyn."

Ollie has been the subject of some bullying at school recently and his behaviour has been causing some increasing concerns.
George Rainsford, who plays Ethan Hardy, previously discussed a dark turn in the storyline to Digital Spy, saying: "There's some really heavy, dramatic stuff coming up for David (Ollie's dad), and Ethan is part of a large ensemble of support for him. That is the big story that is coming in."
Casualty airs on Saturdays on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
