In this Saturday's (April 9) instalment of Casualty, Marty Kirkby and Adi Kapadia's relationship will hit an enormous speed bump.
This all starts with a drunken Marty turning up to Adi's flat, only not to be allowed inside.
He vents to nurse Robyn about it, but they're soon interrupted when teenager Jude gets dropped off at the hospital, unconscious after seemingly taking the drug GBL with alcohol while out on the town.

Jude's mum Rebecca eventually shows up, bringing a change of clothes that surprise Marty and misgendering the teen.

It comes to light that Rebecca insists on keeping Jude's gender identity a secret from her dad Joseph, a local pastor, and believes it's just a phase she's passing through.
The day after, Adi attempts to share some important news with Marty, but Jude's reappearance at the ED distracts him.
Marty is then reminded of his own experience coming out to his dad and decides to leave his number with Jude for whenever she needs a sounding board.
Meanwhile, Adi tells Jessica that he's going to let Marty know about his imminent parenthood, however, things spin into chaos when she experiences sudden pains.

The diagnosis is placenta previa, which occurs when the baby's placenta covers mum's cervix, often resulting in severe bleeding throughout pregnancy and delivery.
Marty comes to check on Jessica and Adi, when the latter finally reveals the truth: he's the father, with Jessica acting as his surrogate.
As you'd expect, this secret hurts Marty, while Adi goes on to admit that they could be in different stages of their lives. Can the couple come back from this?
