Casualty spoilers follow.

Casualty's Dylan Keogh is set to face a devastating dilemma this week, as Paula gives birth.

In scenes scheduled to air on Saturday (February 4), Paula will be seen hiding out on a caravan site, having vowed to herself never to let social services take her baby away. Things get complicated, though, when she goes into labour and starts suffering complications.

When a well-meaning neighbour rings for the emergency services, Dylan (William Beck) intercepts the call and rushes to the scene with Jan, and the pair work together to deliver the baby safely.

At first, Paula (played by comedian Rosie Jones) seems overjoyed to finally meet her baby, but her health quickly begins to deteriorate, which forces Dylan to rush her and the newborn into hospital – a decision that crushes Paula when she comes to, and realises where she is.

Noticing her distress, Dylan pleads with Adi to allow Paula some time with her baby, but Adi is anxious given the fact that Paula attempted to conceal a high risk birth and go on the run. So, considering the danger she might have put herself and the infant in, social services have no choice but to escalate the emergency supervision order.
