There's panic and disorientation all round in the aftermath of the explosion. A shocked Angus kneels next to Zinnie who lies bloodied and badly injured.
Amid the chaos, Dr Annie Jandhu takes control, sending Zinnie off in an ambulance. However, just as she breathes a sigh of relief, she spots an unconscious and bleeding victim - Lenny Murdoch.
Angus is frustrated when the doctor tells him that he can't see Zinnie but Bob is on hand, offering reassurance that everything will be fine. Adding to Angus's upset, he discovers that Zinnie's parents don't know who he is or anything about their engagement.
Meanwhile, Kelly-Marie is shocked to discover that Lenny has named her as his next of kin and goes to his bedside. However, while she urges him to wake from his coma for the sake of grandson Callum, Alex privately wills his nemesis to die.
Later, as Zinnie and Lenny both lie in a critical condition, the Shieldinch community are rocked when death comes calling...
Elsewhere, Caitlin McLean basks in the drama of the explosion, making the most of the attention being lavished on her. However, sister Ellie and daughter Jenny are furious when they uncover her hidden holiday plans.
