Zainab arrives round, complaining that she is not happy there is a hostel on the Square containing criminals. As Richard tries to tell Zainab about the good work the hostel is doing, Donnie and Faith sneak out on a hunt for alcohol, ignoring Richard's request for them to fill in their 'Life Books'.
Meanwhile, Ava finds Riley on their doorstep with cuts all over her arms. Riley confides in Ava that she is being bullied in her care home and that she has another option to go to live with a family in Cornwall, but she wants to wait for Donnie to adopt her. Riley asks Ava not to tell Donnie about the bullying or the other family in Cornwall.
Later, when Donnie slams his book down on the table in front of Richard, Richard slyly informs Donnie about Ava and Riley.
Donnie is livid that Ava has spoken to Riley and Richard is rubbing it in his face, so he decides to go out with Faith - causing havoc across the Square.
