Seann Walsh has charted his - mostly alcohol-fuelled - journey into adulthood through his stand-up since becoming a big name on the circuit five years ago.
But with the big 3-0 quickly approaching, the booze benders have given way to Netflix binges thanks to a more settled life with girlfriend and fellow comedian Rebecca Humphries.
Following 2013's The Lie-In King, Walsh now brings 28 to the nation. Ahead of his dates at London's Bloomsbury Theatre this week, Digital Spy spoke to the Virtually Famous star about eyeliner, towels and lost kitchen appliances.
What are the themes for your new show, 28?
"My first tour was essentially about me going out. It was an hour about when you have a Friday night and Saturday morning, and then the next show was about me moving in on my own and trying to stop having those nights, and failing.
"And now this one - 28 - is about me moving in with my girlfriend and for the first time in my life experiencing what it's like to be in a relationship and having to actually consider someone else when you chuck a wet towel on the bed. So I'm learning and becoming a responsible adult."
What to Read Next
Now you're living with girlfriend Rebecca, how have your evenings changed?
"They're very different. Being in a relationship basically means that your life primarily centres around Netflix. Getting into a relationship, you should meet someone in a bar and go, 'Hi, I was wondering if you wanted to watch Netflix for the next few years of your life?' That is essentially what it is. Which is great!
"I sound like I'm having a go. I love it. It takes a lot less energy as well when you're in a relationship. It's brilliant. You just have to watch TV and you don't have to get a cab home at four in the morning."
What's the weirdest thing that's happened to you when you've had a drink?
"Well I think my favourite one is that I woke up - this is genuinely true - I woke up after a heavy night in my flat and I'd lost my kettle. I have never since seen the kettle. I don't know what happened to the kettle. If anyone knows, can they please contact me and tell me where my kettle is because I miss it. It's quite difficult to lose a kettle. I don't know what I did."
Are there any other areas of your life that have changed in the past few years?
"This is absolutely morbid, but I'm just generally tired a lot more. So tired. I wasn't as tired before and now basically - I wake up, I'm tired. I go throughout the day being knackered and then by the end of the day I'm exhausted and then I go to sleep."
You will be turning 30 at the end of the year. How are you feeling about that?
"This sounds like the thing you have to say, but it is true: I just wish that I could have a few more years of drinking and having a hangover that only lasts two hours. But now if I drink, it's two days with a hangover. I've now got to the point where I'm scared of drinking because I lose two days. And so I really wish I could just go back for a few more years and have that.
"When you're younger and you drink, the consequences change. When you're younger, you break a vase and then when you get a bit older and have a drink it means you don't talk to your best friend for four years.
"But I'm sort of glad I'm exiting my 20s in a way. Because your 20s are very angst-ridden and you're very anxious.
"You don't really know what's ahead of you in your life. You've left education and that's terrifying not knowing where you're going to end up. And approaching your 30s you have a bit of a clearer idea of where you're going to be, what your situation is going to be in your life, generally speaking, and that's quite comfortable. So I prefer that."
Do you know if Adele has seen the tour poster?
"I don't know if she has! The only thing about that tour poster is that I really liked it and thought it was fun when I did it, but it's not as iconic as I thought. So a lot of people think I've just chosen to have a black and white picture of me with mascara on, and I've not turned into that guy. Yet."
How would you describe your stand-up to someone who hasn't seen you before?
"If you're in a couple, you've recently moved in with your partner, I think you'll really like '28'. I hadn't lived with someone before, so it was a new experience for me; all these funny observations that I was experiencing for the first time and now I'm talking about them.
"A lot of people have talked to me afterwards and said, 'We've just moved in together and we agree with everything you said'. Couples really like it. But I think if you've just split up with someone and you're a bit down, I'd probably just go to the pub..."
Seann Walsh is currently touring Seann: 28 around the UK including two nights at the Bloomsbury Theatre on April 16 and 18. Virtually Famous airs Monday nights on E4 at 10pm.
