The comedian has added new dates to his tour across both his 2018 and 2019 dates, with new gigs announced in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and more.

And it didn't stop there either, as throughout the day Peter Kay kept adding dates, from new shows in Berlin and Dublin...

... to five extra shows in Manchester and London for 2019:

The current tour schedule can be seen in full on Peter Kay's website.

Original: Peter Kay has announced his first stand-up tour in eight years.

He last toured in 2010 which still ranks as the biggest selling comedy tour of all time, with Peter playing to more than 1.2 million people.

We imagine this new tour, which kicks off in April 2018 and visits all major UK and Ireland arenas through to 2019, could challenge it…

"I really miss it. I know how lucky I am to be making television series and have really loved these past few years working on Car Share but I miss doing stand-up," he said of his return.

"As terrifying as it is, when it works there's nothing more fun and exciting.

"Plus, a lot has happened in the last eight years, with Trump, Twitter and my Nan getting her front bush trimmed at the age of 96. I can't wait to get back up on stage."

Tickets for all dates go on sale this Sunday (November 19) at 10am, available from www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk, limited to people to over 15 years of age.

Back in August, Peter responded to the fan outrage that Car Share was ending after two series by calling it "lovely" – but it doesn't sound like he's budging on his decision.

"It is very flattering but I think if you have told a story you have told it, there is nothing else you can do," he said.

"It is lovely that they would want it in theory, but you don't want it to become contrived so you are better off just leaving things sometimes."

This stand-up tour makes it even less likely we'll be returning to that car...
