Jim Davidson has slammed Michael McIntyre and other modern-day comedians in a foul-mouthed tirade. Here we go...

The 63-year-old former Celebrity Big Brother winner is about to kick off his latest stand-up tour, which hits theatres next year.

And turns out he has quite a lot to say about his comedy successors - and a lot of it ain't pretty.

Discussing the tour's title, '40 Years On', he told Kent News: "It's how I earn my money.

"It's a long time to be in show business, and it's a way to say to all these young c**ts like McIntyre and others who don't think I'm funny but do think I'm a racist, 'Look at what I've done, and all the things that I've done'."

(Although in a strange twist of fate, a joke involving a 'mini-Michael McIntyre' at this year's Royal Variety Performance was itself branded racist by some viewers.)

But Jim wasn't done there. Oh no.

The former Generation Game host went on to have a swipe at Simon Cowell and his reality TV empire, despite getting his own big break (pun intended) on the 1970s talent show New Faces.

"Shows like The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent just make the judges like Simon Cowell look good," he added. "It's about amateurs trying to be good at something.

"New Faces wasn't like that, it wasn't about the judges. It was professional comedians trying to get work."

Or old school comedians trying to get headlines? We'll leave that one up to you.
