Update – January 26, 2019: Kim Porter's cause of death has been confirmed, with the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner ruling that she died from lobar pneumonia.

Original – November 15, 2018: Former model and actress Kim Porter, who dated Sean 'Diddy' Combs from 1994 to 2007, died on Thursday (November 15), a rep for the music mogul told E! News. She was 47.

"Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter," the rep told the outlet. "I ask that you give the families privacy at this time."

Porter and Diddy had three children together, including twin daughters D'Lila Star and Jessie James, 11, and son Christian, 20. Diddy also helped raise Porter's son from a previous relationship, Quincy, 27, who she had with record producer Al B. Sure.

The rep did not confirm the cause of Porter's death, but TMZ reports authorities were called to Porter's residence after someone went into cardiac arrest.

Although Diddy and Porter broke up after 13 years, they remained good friends, often wishing each other a "Happy Birthday" on social media. Diddy has not yet publicly commented on Porter's death.

In 2009, Porter told Essence about their relationship: "You know how when two people go their separate ways, most of the time there's animosity? It's not like that with us. Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. It's not about 'if you're faithful to me, if I'm being faithful to you'.

"We're friends. I'm the person he can tell his inner-most thoughts to and he's that person for me. He still calls me everyday and we talk. There's no ill feeling or 'I can't stand you, I hate you, don't call'. There's none of that. We have three children together so that's just not an option. We're committed to our children even if we couldn't commit to each other."
