The teenage soap star and his girlfriend Levi Selby, who is also 16 years old, are expecting their first child together, according to The Sun.
Selby seemingly alluded to being pregnant on Facebook earlier this week by posting a photo of a baby scan along with writing "8th December", which many commenters interpreted as a due date.

The teenager also liked a Facebook comment from a friend who wrote that "Alex is going to be an amazing dad". A spokesperson for Coronation Street declined to comment on the news when reached by Digital Spy.
Bain first found fame as a child actor, appearing in a Rice Krispies television advertising campaign as well as the BBC drama series Sunshine.
In 2008, the young actor took over the role of Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) and Lucy Richards' (Katy Carmichael) son Simon Barlow, and was at the centre of a controversial child custody storyline. He would win the British Soap Award for Best Young Performance in 2011.

More recent years have seen Simon weather a difficult adolescence, including disturbing scenes of the boy being led astray by a sinister gang that attacked Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) this past spring.
