Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken about her struggles with hair loss in an emotional talk with her mother and daughter.
As part of their new series Red Table Talk, the Gotham star opened-up about discovering that she was losing her hair.
"I've been getting a lot of questions about why I've been wearing this turban," she said. "Well, I've been having issues with hair loss. And it was terrifying when it first started."
She explained that "handfuls" of hair started to come out, adding: "I was just like 'Oh my God am I going bald?' It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear.
"That was a really scary experience. That's why I cut my hair and continue to cut it."
However, she admitted that put her fears into perspective, and that she entrusted her body to a "higher power".

"People are out here with cancer, with sick children," Jada continued. "I watch the higher power take things every day. And by golly if the higher power wants to take your hair, that's it.
"When I looked at it from that perspective it did settle me. When I had to think about what else would you lose."
Last week on the show, Jada's daughter Willow opened-up about her past struggles with self-harm, to the shock of her mother and grandmother.
