Legendary musician Roger Daltrey, who formed a quarter of classic rock band The Who, has revealed that he is "very, very deaf".
The singer made the announcement at a solo show he was performing at the Hard Rock Resort in Las Vegas, telling the crowd that he needs to rely on lip-reading now.
He also said that he uses in-ear monitors to follow the music when he's playing live, according to The Mirror.
"The trouble with these ear things that I wear is that I am very, very deaf," he said. "And I advise you all – all you rock-and-roll fans – take your f**king ear plugs to the gigs.
"If only we had known when we were young... we are lip-reading."
However, Daltrey made it quite clear that he won't be stopped from performing live by his hearing issues, saying that he wants to keep playing "for a long time".

"But in the end as you get older, your friends do die and there is nothing you can do about it. Your real friends are the ones by your side."
Daltrey has spoken before about his hearing loss, saying: "I'm quite deaf these days" and admitting that he finds it heard to hear on stage:
