Stephanie Davis revealed she was suicidal last year during an emotional interview on ITV's Lorraine.
The former Hollyoaks actress explained that the breakdown of her relationship with ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, who was convicted of assaulting her last year, left her feeling so worthless that she didn't think she would live past Christmas.
"It got that bad, my self-worth was on the floor," she told host Lorraine Kelly. "They chip away at you until you're kind of nothing, or... you feel like you're nothing without that person.
"I was speaking to... my life coach and he said, 'Where do you see yourself?' This was back then, and I said, 'I don't see myself even getting to Christmas'. It was really bad.
"I've got a great team around me that's helped me, but it was sad to say that, and it's sad to think that I was feeling that low. I can't believe I ever got to that point."
When Lorraine put it to Stephanie that she was feeling suicidal at that time, she replied: "Yeah, I really was."

In August 2017, Jeremy was found guilty of assaulting Stephanie, and was handed a 20-week suspended sentence and 200 hours community service after a court heard how he threw Stephanie "around like a rag doll".
However, he failed to show up for eight work appointments in the community service order, reportedly after deciding to jet off to Turkey instead for a hair and beard transplant. This resulted in him then being sentenced to 18 weeks in prison for failing to comply with his punishment.
During her interview on Lorraine, Stephanie claimed that Jeremy had attacked her in front of their 1-year-old son Caben.
"It started off with little things like he would throw the [phone] charger at my head while I was holding [Caben]," she said. "Then it progressed. There is a lot of stuff I could go into, but I don't need to stoop to that level because I've moved on."
The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant also revealed she turned to alcohol as she struggled to cope with the abuse and breakdown of her relationship. Stephanie added that last year, she realised she had slowly become an alcoholic.
"It was hard to get my head around because I had an alcoholic in my head as a homeless person on the street," she explained. "I thought, 'I can't be an alcoholic, I'm young, I've got it all'. But I knew something wasn't right.
"I've always had a problem with drink – it doesn't agree with me. But with Jeremy, things escalated very quickly, especially when he did things to me. I'd drink to block it out. It was a real bad time."
After realising she had an issue with alcohol, Stephanie checked herself into rehab to get better.
Talking to Lorraine, she admitted it was the "best decision of my life" as she is now in a much happier place.
Looking to the future, Stephanie wants to get her acting career back on track and use her platform to spread awareness about alcoholism, particularly among young people.
"I want to help young people realise the stigma around alcohol and domestic violence," Stephanie added. "I want to be the voice to say it's okay not to be okay."
Stephanie received no payment for the ITV interview and has instead asked the broadcaster to donate the fee she would have received to charity.
A spokesperson for Jeremy told Digital Spy "no comment" when asked about the allegations made in Stephanie's interview.
Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 8.30am.
