Call the Midwife's Jenny Agutter spoke up in defence of co-star Helen George on Lorraine today (February 15) after the 33-year-old was the victim of a body-shaming troll on Twitter.
George, who was pregnant with her first child while starring as Nurse Trixie in the current series of the hit BBC show, responded perfectly on the social media site after a troll suggested she should be "put on a diet".
She replied: "Sorry if my chins offended you, I chose to feed my baby healthily and not starve myself in a selfish act to look good on TV.
"Would you say this to a pregnant lady's face? You should look on pregnant ladies' multiple chins with love, they are busy making the future."
Chatting about the incident with Lorraine guest host Christine Lampard today, Agutter – who plays Sister Julienne on the show – called the troll in question an "idiot" before praising George for her response.
"She responded in a way from all mothers, which is an extraordinary thing, how wonderful it is," she said.

"You put on weight when you're pregnant and she wants to feed naturally and she wants to be a good mother."
Explaining why she reckons George was targeted, Agutter continued: "Part of it is that she is prominent. She is gorgeous and she is so glamorous.
"Sometimes there's envy there."
Lorraine airs on weekdays from 8.30am on ITV.
