James Bay is arguably known just as much for his long locks and signature hat as he is for his music, so imagine our complete surprise when we realised he'd gone for a haircut. And we don't mean a trim, we mean an actual, serious chop.
James debuted his new 'do at this week's MTV European Music Awards and it's actually a miracle that anyone recognised him on the red carpet, as he looks completely different.
Gone are the luscious long locks and in their place is a floppy shorter hairstyle that falls perfectly around his eyes. He's obviously decided to bin that old hat, too.
James made sure to give everyone a good look at his new barnet, posing for hundreds of pictures as he made his big entrance at Wembley's SSE Arena.
Twitter has been paying homage to the new James, too, and it's fair to say his latest look has gone down a treat with fans.
One tweeted: "Wait a minute but James Bay cut his hair and got rid of his hat omg he looks like an entire new man." Another added: "Ok so #JamesBay has cut his hair off at first I was like no but now I'm kinda like yes #anyoneelse."
Yep, it's definitely a yes from us.
