Though of course model Kate Upton and Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander planned their wedding a loooong time ago, it seems like fate that the long-time couple finally tied the knot on Saturday.
That has everything to do with Verlander: The Astros won the World Series for the first time ever on November 1, so he and Upton were already in quite the celebratory mood.
As for how the couple, who dated on and off for years before getting serious in 2014, celebrated their surely sensational nuptials?
According to Us Weekly, Upton wore a Valentino gown for a ceremony held in an Italian castle, with the party itself held at the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort.
Which, yeah, this pretty much looks like a dream wedding venue:
Upton's confirmed the news on her Instagram page, sharing a photo from KT Merry, her wedding photographer, and writing: "I feel so lucky that I got to marry my best friend!! @justinverlander

"Thank you to our family and friends for making this weekend so fun and magical!"
Sharing the same photo, Verlander wrote: "Happy wife happy life! What an amazing beginning to our journey together!"
And KT added: "Congratulations @kateupton and @justinverlander! What an honor to document your love and celebrations in beautiful Tuscany! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!"
Congratulations to the happy couple, who have much to celebrate this year and the years to come!
