For students across the land, A-level results day has been one of the most nerve-wracking things they will ever encounter. We mean, it's huge. Not only does it determine which university you will go to, it also determines whether you will actually go to uni at all or whether you can still get that ace job you've got your eye on.

But fear not, as Made in Chelsea's Alex Mytton was here to put a smile on everyone's faces. Well, actually he wasn't, as it turned out.

Mytton took to Twitter to share his musings about the momentous occasion, but his so-called joke was graded a big fat F for FAIL.

Alex told his 235,000 followers: "Guys if you're results were sh*t don't worry there's always Love Island #ResultsDay [sic]."

Oh how we chortled... NOT. And here's why:

Firstly, could Alex sound anymore neggy about A-levels if he tried? No.

Secondly, we love Love Island and so does the majority of the student population. In fact, make that the entire population, so he can shut his cake-hole on that one, too.

Thirdly, Alex, you are yourself a reality star so...

Fourthly, you are so rich that this kind of thing probably doesn't even matter to you.

And finally, this is the big one so listen up, as Ross says: Y O U ' R E Means "You Are", Y O U R Means "Your".

Goodness gracious.

It appears we are not alone in thinking this way either, as many of Alex's followers were quick to reply to his 'joke'.

One quite rightly pointed out: "I do believe @CamillaThurlow may disagree with YOUR tweet here (correct usage of your btw)." And in reply to his suggestion of a Love Island application, another added: "Or Made in Chelsea #boom."

Awks.
