It was back in February that Queen Bey shared the (literally) earth-shattering news that Blue Ivy would soon have two younger siblings to play with — and Beyoncé made that announcement as only she could.
The 'Love on Top' singer shared a stunning photo of her baby bump on Instagram, along with the caption: "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes."
Naturally, fans immediately speculated that Beyoncé's reference to her family "growing by two" meant that she and Jay Z were expecting twins, a logical theory that ultimately proved correct.
Although Beyoncé's pregnancy forced her to call some major career milestones (like headlining this past April's Coachella festival in California), she still managed to utterly dazzle the Beyhive with a show-stopping medley of 'Love Drought' and 'Sandcastles' at the Grammy Awards.

News that the couple were expecting twins followed almost a full year after Beyoncé released the Grammy Award winning visual album Lemonade, which was comprised of confessional songs that many felt alluded to infidelity on Jay Z's behalf.
Amid endless speculation about the themes of Lemonade, it was Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles Lawson who gave us the wisest interpretation.
"People make it all about the cheating and betrayal and, yes, that's a part of it because that is something you have to heal from," Tina Knowles Lawson explained.
"If you really listen to the poetry it is one of hope and redemption and hopefully that can be healing for people."
One year on, it seems times are very good for Beyoncé and husband Jay Z these days — and we're sure that the arrival of twins will only make their future brighter.
