Ariana Grande has released an empowering statement in the wake of the terror attack that killed 22 people at her Manchester Arena concert earlier in the week.

The 'Focus' singer has understandably stayed away from the spotlight since arriving back in the US hours after the bombing, but is now vowing to come back to Manchester in a message to survivors and her fans worldwide.

"There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better," she writes. "However, I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way."

She goes on to insist: "We will not quit or operate in fear. We won't let this divide us. We won't let hate win."

Although she's postponed her current European tour, Ariana has promised to return to Manchester in the near future to perform a special concert "in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families".

The 23-year-old American popstar was only just finishing the latest stop on her 'Dangerous Woman Tour' late Monday night when suspected suicide bomber Salman Ramadan Abedi detonated an explosive device that killed 22 and injured more than 50, including children.

In the immediate aftermath of the terror attack, Ariana tweeted that she was "broken" but had otherwise stayed silent until dropping today's statement on Twitter and Instagram.

Yesterday, her manager Scooter Braun vented his "sorrow" and "rage" at the suspected terrorist's act of "cowardice" in specifically targeting children and urged people around the world never to "let evil" win.

"There is nothing that can be said to make 22 return to their families today," he also wrote. "I am so so sorry for their loss. I am so sorry to all those affected. Thank you to people of Manchester who have come together to help save lives and give shelter. Your courage and bravery is our hope."
