A Wind in the Willows musical is coming to London... and its full cast list will have you wishing your date with the Palladium and a big tub of ice cream hurries along sooner.
From June 29, comic and actor Rufus Hound will be reprising his role as Mr Toad, having already won a Manchester Theatre Award for playing the classic character.
Alongside Rufus will be former Loose Women panellist Denise Welch as Mrs Otter, and the previously-confirmed EastEnders alum Neil McDermott as Chief Weasel.
Completing the group of anthropomorphic animals are Gary Wilmot as Badger, Simon Lipkin as Rat, and Craig Mather as Mole.
And in case you're sitting there thinking it sounds like something you'd only take your 5-year-old along to during half-term, may we beg to differ?
The new musical, based on Kenneth Grahame's much-loved classic, reunites Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and Olivier Award-winning songwriting team George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
What to Read Next
The trio previously worked on Mary Poppins for the stage, so this is bound to be a little bit great.
"This new adaptation has been such a joy to write, and we have pulled together a really marvellous array of extraordinary talent in casting the production," said Fellowes.
"I've no doubt that our actors are going to have the time of their lives taking these memorable characters on the journey from page to stage. I hope and believe the audience will have a lot of fun!"
The Wind in the Willows will open at the London Palladium on June 29, with previews from June 16. For ticket information, including details on how kids can go free over the summer, visit www.WillowsMusical.com.
