Caitlyn Jenner will tell her incredible life story for the first time in an upcoming memoir.

The Olympian and LGBTQ activist is partnering with Friday Night Lights author Buzz Bissinger for The Secrets of My Life, out through Grand Central Publishing on April 25, 2017.

Unlike Caitlyn's previous books focusing on her Olympic career and physical fitness regiment, The Secrets of My Life explores the struggles she faced living in the closet before coming out as trans in 2015.

"Things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey," she announced on Monday (November 28).

"I couldn't pick a better team, in Grand Central and Buzz, to make sure this story is told with a lot of honesty and care."

The book's release will mark the second anniversary of her groundbreaking ABC primetime interview with journalist Diane Sawyer, in which she publicly spoke about being trans for the first time.

Since that interview, Caitlyn has helped raise awareness for the trans community and let fans into her own transition on the docu-series I am Cait - which finished its two season run this past April.

In an interview with Digital Spy earlier this year, Caitlyn opened up about the heartbreaking fear she faced of being "outed" before she could come out publicly.

"Well, I am sitting on the couch with the most social-media family in the world," she added of her decision to come out in front of the world.

"Literally, we can reach 160 million people right there with their little phones – and of course they all had their phones out. Immediately, social media started going crazy in a positive way. And then the celebrity world started to respond.

"I think Lady Gaga was the first. She was saying, 'This is the greatest night ever.' She was saying she was so proud and, 'I love him', and on and on and on.

"And my kids were reading this. And then Elton John, and then Jennifer Lopez, and the list just went on and on and on – but it was all of these positive responses. Right then, I think they knew that it was going to be okay."
