In news sure to warm the hearts of even the most cynical among us, Dolly Parton and Carl Dean have renewed their wedding vows after 50 years of marriage.

The couple have celebrated the milestone with a private Nashville ceremony to mark a half-century since they tied the knot in Georgia back in May 1966.

"If I had it to do all over, I'd do it all over again, and we did," the adorable Dolly says. "I'm dragging him kicking and screaming into the next 50 years.

"Wish us luck. In all honesty, the only way I was able to get Carl to do any of this in the first place was that it was a great opportunity for us to raise money for some very worthy causes."

The couple will be selling their anniversary ceremony pictures to raise money for charity, offering fans a rare glimpse at the incredibly-private Carl Dean.

As far as a honeymoon, the pair will settle for Dolly's on-going 'Pure & Simple Tour' - her largest North American trek in a quarter-century.

The singer is performing in Vienna, Virginia tonight (June 8), and will be in Northfield, Ohio on Friday (June 10) and Cincinnati on Saturday (June 11).
