Emma Willis has opened up about her husband Matt Willis kicking his addictions.

In an interview with You Magazine, the TV presenter explained how she didn't know anyone who was an addict before she met the Busted star, but it wasn't something "she found hard to come to terms with".

"At the beginning of our relationship, I didn't realise the extent of his addiction, and I don't think he did either," she recalled. "But it's not until time passes and patterns form that you can see the root of the problem – and it wasn't just a case of being young and going off the rails."

Emma continued: "Once you are further into a relationship you're not going to jump ship when there are problems. To me, we just had to find a way to sort it out. And he did. I never worry about him relapsing. He is as good as gold now."

She returns to our screens later this month with three-part ITV documentary What Would Be Your Miracle, but doesn't know if she'll be on the channel when The Voice UK starts on its new home.

"I am fully prepared that it could mean I am out of a job," the presenter explained. "I have great loyalty to the show and I'd love to go with it, but I understand the powers that be might want to shake it up."

Emma is currently pregnant with their third child together, after their 6-year-old daughter Isabelle and 4-year-old son Ace. However, there will be no rest for Emma after she gives birth, as she'll be back presenting Big Brother within a month or so.

"I would have liked the due date not to have fallen where it has. Not least because Matt goes on tour a week later. It's not perfectly timed," she noted, before joking, "Well, it's perfectly timed for him."

Matt is set to head out with the reformed Busted within a week of Emma giving birth as their tour kicks off on May 11 at London's Wembley Arena.

On Big Brother, she added that the job is all about "treading a fine line": "I don't think it's my job to judge someone having only watched them on a TV show… I have to present from the middle and ask the questions both sides want to hear."

What Would Be Your Miracle follows the inspirational stories of people whose lives have been transformed by modern medical 'miracles', including a 10-year-old boy learning to walk again.

It starts on ITV on April 28 at 9pm.
