Turns out not everyone is a Work or Hello fan. Particularly not seasoned rocker Keith Richards if his recent remarks are anything to go by.
In an interview with Time Out London, the Rolling Stone professed that he doesn't think Adele or Rihanna are perhaps the real deal.
"Well, they can't rely on themselves, can they?" Richards said. "We're in the midst of a heavy-duty 'showbiz' period, even stronger than when we killed it last time."
Ouch. To Richards' defense, he was heavily probed by the reporter when asked if he thinks it's crazy "that huge artists today like Adele and Rihanna use so many songwriters".
Still, we think it would be wise for Adele and RiRi to take Keith's statements with a pinch of salt... we're sure it won't be long until they each get an invite to perform on stage at the next Rolling Stones farewell tour.
Meanwhile, Adele has had no problems pleasing the world with her music if the success of her recent six-night O2 stint was anything to go by.
