With last night's BAFTAs coinciding with Valentine's Day, it was inevitable that the celebrities would get into the spirit.

There was of course the kiss cam, highlights of which included Dame Maggie Smith getting a very lucky peck on the cheek from Leonardo DiCaprio, and Rebel Wilson and Eddie Izzard getting rather heavily into the spirit.

Cuba Gooding Jr later took to the stage to present the award for Original Screenplay, recalling: "Last time I was on this stage, a young man gave me a kiss" - that kiss with a certain Stephen Fry from last year.

He then presented a rose to the evening's host, with Fry coyly saying: "Oh Cuba... bless him," though they did not go for a full-on kiss this time.

Wilson also caused a stir during her presentation of the Best Supporting Actor award, telling nominee Idris Elba: "I'm just sociologically programmed to want chocolate on Valentine's Day."

Throughout the evening, winners also wished their partners a happy Valentine's Day, including producer Mary Parent of The Revenant after its Best Film win.

Stephen Fry hosted the 69th British Academy Film Awards in London.
