It's been a busy year for Zooey Deschanel, after announcing that she is pregnant and engaged earlier this year.
It seems that both of those life achievements have been fulfilled, after a rep for the New Girl actress told the press that she is now married to Jacob Pechenik and has given birth to a baby girl.
"I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl," the representative said in a statement.
Specific details were not given about the newborn at this stage, nor anything about the top-secret marriage.
Deschanel has been dating her producer partner since mid-2014.
The 35-year-old was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard from September 2009 to December 2012.
